Because I had completed several DS106 assignments before, I decided to highlight those projects and use them to help tell the story of what makes this community so special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first challenge was figuring out how to record video directly from my MacBook. I wanted to show exactly where I found the assignments and display the results of my completed work. It took some trial and error (and several takes!) to get the recordings just right. Once I had the footage, I spent a lot of time editing, especially syncing the background music with the visuals so that everything flowed smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Taconis DS106 Visual Assignment Promotion\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/E-HDbmaKNDU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Along the way, I learned how to use the built-in screen recording and video editing tools on my MacBook more effectively. It was satisfying to see how those features could come together to create something polished and professional-looking. Even though I\u2019m pleased with the final result, I know there\u2019s still room for improvement. I have a tendency to chase perfection, so I\u2019m learning that sometimes it\u2019s okay to step away and appreciate what I\u2019ve accomplished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, I\u2019m proud of how the project turned out. I hope my promotional video captures the creativity and collaborative spirit of the DS106 community, a space that truly adds value to the art and storytelling world.
