I enjoyed setting the scene with imagery—the quiet rustle of trees, the glow of lamplight, and the calm yet mysterious feeling that comes with nighttime in the park.

Dark Park

Walking in the garden and it’s late at night.

When I look up in the sky the stars provide the light.

I hear the trees swaying due to the wind blowing.

My feet are swishing on the ground since it is now snowing.

I reach out my hand to grab a firefly.

I then sit on a lumpy wood bench and rest my hand on my thigh.

I hear a train horn sound in the near distance.

I’m hungry for peach pie, because I can smell the scent.

The crickets are chirping loudly as I began to walk again.

I hear someone call my name and I know it’s my friend.

We are meeting up to have a late night picnic in the park.

I am back at the entrance because I got lost due to the dark.

Next, I created a “flood of words” image using my own name. This activity was a playful way to visualize identity through words and design. It reminded me that sometimes creativity can be as simple as transforming text into art.

Finally, I wrote a rhyming poem about water, exploring its movement, sound, and symbolism. Water can be peaceful or powerful, and it was interesting to capture that duality through rhyme and rhythm.

Drops of Rain

Drip, drop, drip drop.

I can hear the rain as pours non-stop.

I can also hear it crashing down on the hard clay.

Rain, rain, please go away and come back another day.

A day when I need to water my grass.

Maybe a day when I get home after class.

I do not mind if its later in the afternoon.

You can then join the wind and become a monsoon.

Drip, drop, drip, drop.

It’s a downpour for sure and it is not going to stop.

You can see all three of my Week 9 Daily Creates [here].
